The region’s most anticipated fashion event will be held digitally once again

Between 25-28 March, the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency will be giving Hungarian brands the opportunity to present their latest creations at the second digital Budapest Central European Fashion Week. Within the framework of the four-day online event, 26 Hungarian and 11 regional designers will be able to present their special collections to the domestic and international public. For the first time in the history of BCEFW, designers that were unable to complete their current AW21/22 collection due to the challenges posed by the virus situation, will also be able to present pieces from the previous season. Pre-recorded runway videos of trend-dictating brands will be broadcasted on the official Facebook page of BCEFW.

Taking into account the development of the changing virus situation and international trends, the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency has decided to once again hold the Budapest Central European Fashion Week in March, in the form of runway videos. Viewers interested will be able to see pieces from Spring-Summer 2021 collections, as well as collections from the Autumn-Winter 2021/2022 collections.

Due to the challenges posed by the virus situation, many brands were unable to present their SS21 collection at the digital BCEFW event held in October 2020, therefore the HFDA is now providing them with the opportunity to do so. This solution has been designed to support as many designers as possible for them to have the opportunity to take part in BCEFW, which can provide them with sales opportunities in these challenging times.

Between 25-28 March, those interested can gain insight into the work of 26 Hungarian fashion designers - ABODI, ALMA, Artista, BORBALA, CAKO, Celeni, Cukovy, DÜSK, Elysian, Kata Szegedi, Katti Zoób, MERO, NINI, Nora Sarman, NUBU, OST konzept, PHILOMÉN, Romani Design, Sentiments, THEFOUR, TOMCSANYI, VENGRU, VIKTORIAVARGA Budapest, VIRAG KERENYI, ZIA budapest és ZSIGMOND DORA menswear, out of which 7 designers were also able to present themselves at a digital event at Milano Fashion Week in February as participants of the Camera Nazionale della Moda’s mentoring programme. Besides Hungarian talents, ten regional fashion designers also have the opportunity to present their collections, and therefore the event perfectly reflects the cultural richness of Central Europe. As a result, Budapest Central European Fashion Week in March is an event held in the spirit of cooperation and community awareness between the surrounding countries.

A selection of the products of the domestic brands taking part in BCEFW are already available at the Budapest Select Concept Store online webshop launched in December 2020.
