The free of charge fashion industry conference from the safety of your home – The III. Budapest Fashion & Tech Summit will be held in digital form


The Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency is organising the international Budapest Fashion & Tech Summit conference for the third time this year, and those interested in fashion will have the opportunity to listen to the English lectures on the event's Facebook page for free between 30 November and 1 December. During the event, international experts such as Vogue Japan's Creative Director, style icon and fashion expert Anna Dello Russo; Luceny Fofana, Marketing Director for Burberry US; and Stefan Siegel, Founder of Not Just a Label - who also places great emphasis on contemporary and up-and-coming designers - will also take part in the conference. During the two-day event, experts will discuss the topics of fashion, sustainability and technological innovations.

 

Between 30 November and 1 December, due to the virus situation, viewers interested in gaining insight into the world of fashion and technology will be able to do so online. Experts from Austria, Slovakia, Ukraine, Slovenia, France, Italy, Nigeria and the United States, among others, will be logging in to the event’s Facebook page via live video presentations. The presentations held in English, will be focusing on sustainability, changing business models and environmentally conscious technological innovations, can be viewed free of charge for all. The two-day professional conference will be opened by a discussion between Anna Dello Russo, the Creative Director of Vogue Japan, and Zsófia Bata-Jakab, CEO of the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency, with the event continuing with four interesting and current topics.

 

The first panel discussion will be focusing on the next 10 years of the fashion industry, and specifically on the topic of sustainability. During the discussions, participants will have the opportunity to listen to presentations from experts such as Petra Green, Founder of Sans Concept Fashion Lab and Dana Davis, Vice President of Sustainability at the Mara Hoffmann brand. The second panel will revolve around changing business models, where Luceny Fofana, Marketing Director for Burberry US, and Stefan Siegel, Founder of Not Just a Label, will be providing insight on the topic. In the third panel, among others, Éva Lili Bartha, 3D Tech Designer will be sharing her experiences on the role of technology in the fashion world. Lastly, in the fourth and final panel, the effects of the virus situation on the sectors of fashion and design will be at the centre of attention. In this section, the speakers will include Orsola de Castro, Founder and Creative Director of Fashion Revolution, and Alison Bringé, Head of Marketing at Launchmetrics.

 

The event will be closed by a regional roundtable discussion, in which the leaders of the surrounding countries’ fashion institutions will participate, including Zsófia Bata-Jakab, CEO of the HFDA, where they will reflect on the four major panel discussion topics. Those interested will also have the opportunity to ask questions in advance from Anna Dello Russo and other speakers at the event, and also live - during their lectures - either in writing or via video. Questions will be displayed by the organisers live, and the experts will be able to answer them almost immediately.
