The Countdown Has Begun: You Can Now Apply For The 15th BCEFW
One of the region’s leading fashion events, Budapest Central European Fashion Week (BCEFW), is returning with its fifteenth edition between the 10th and the 16th of February 2025, showcasing 2025-2026 autumn-winter trends. Domestic and regional fashion designers who wish to present their collections can apply to six different BCEFW AW2526 catwalk show and presentation categories by the 17th of November.
The organisation of the 15th Budapest Central European Fashion Week (BCEFW) has begun, scheduled to take place between the 10th and the 16th of February 2025, in line with international trends, and the exclusive fashion shows of the AW2526 season will be held on the 15th and the 16th of February. The event will offer opportunities to display in six categories: Catwalk Show, BCEFW Showcase, Self-Organised Show, Young Talents Collective Presentation, New Generation Collective, and Conscious by BCEFW, which debuted in the SS25 season, allowing designers to unveil their newest collections in front of a professional audience and the domestic and international press.
Once again, this year, BCEFW is offering different opportunities for debuting and appearing for domestically and internationally acclaimed brands and emerging talents. The Catwalk and Self-Organised Show categories are open for applications from designers with a stable manufacturing capacity who are ready to enter the international market and present two seasonal collections per year. The BCEFW Showcase category is open to brands with a strong domestic target audience, substantial production capacity, and a minimum output of two collections per year. Designers who have proven their worth in the domestic and regional scene and present two collections each year but are yet to enter the foreign markets can apply to the Presentation category.
Naturally, BCEFW is focusing on supporting young talents again; thus, emerging brands that have been operating for up to four years can enter the New Generation Collective Show category, while the Young Talents Collective Show will present exciting, recent graduate designers to the audience, who will unveil their newest creations, made within a year.
Environmental consciousness was in the spotlight during BCEFW SS25, embodied in the Conscious by BCEFW category, and endorsed by the Conscious Fashion Initiative framework. Local and regional brands that have developed a conscious business model and have successfully met the framework criteria in the previous season will gain an advantage during BCEFW AW2526.
Domestic and international designers can apply electronically by the 17th of November via the BCEFW’s ‘APPLY’ subpage. The entries will be evaluated by the Advisory Board’s committee of experts.
