Special Hungarian brands have been added to the selection of Budapest Select Concept Store


The Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency’s webstore, the Budapest Select Concept Store which opened at the end of 2020, now offers a selection of goods from 25 new brands for customers interested in the Hungarian fashion and design industry. Currently, visitors can discover the creations of 67 Hungarian brands, consisting of women's and men's clothing, accessories, home furnishings and beauty products too. With the expansion of the Budapest Select Concept Store, the HFDA is providing a wide range of new opportunities for Hungarian designers to showcase and sell their products, as well as raising awareness among conscious consumers to buy domestic products and support Hungarian designers.

At the end of 2020, as a response to changing consumer habits and the rise of e-commerce, the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency’s web store, Budapest Select Concept Store was opened, providing extensive visibility for Hungarian brands in the virtual space, and ensuring attention is given to the unique characteristics of Hungarian designers. The webstore will highlight and make the values of Hungarian brands visible to the Hungarian and international public interested in fashion and design. The site also offers a wide range of goods, from masks, T-shirts and jackets to unique lamps and furniture. Besides raising awareness of Hungarian fashion and design brands, the platform will also help to build a stronger relationship between consumers and brands by sharing the personal stories of brands, which will stimulate the sales process further.

The Budapest Select Concept Store has already delivered great results in its first few months of being open. The webstore attracted close to 300,000 visitors in its first few weeks and has gained thousands of followers on social media. Based on the statistics so far, the majority of customers order 1 product at a time, however, there have also been cases where 4 Hungarian designer products have been added to the shopping cart at once. Masks and designer T-shirts have been popular, in demand products recently, but many visitors have also shown an interest in the work of Hungarian product designers too. Purchases can be split approximately 70-30% between consumers living in the capital and other rural areas. The site has also been visited from the United States and Asia, but most visitors have arrived from Hungary and Romania. There was also huge interest from the Ukrainian, Polish and Slovakian regions. The webstore will allow Hungarian products to reach foreign audiences, and as a result, creating demand for them on international markets as well as supporting the relaunch of export processes.

With the expansion of the Budapest Select Concept Store, the site now boasts no less than 67 Hungarian brands, and some of the already present designers are also offering pieces from their Spring/Summer 2021 collections for sale. Visitors can now shop from 36 fashion, 20 design, 4 beauty and cosmetics, 4 accessory, and 3 jewellery brands, which includes free delivery and other seasonal discounts to support the brands' sales.

What makes the online platform special is its wide selection of goods. The pieces of talented and creative designers offer a wide range of products to suit all styles, so everyone can find something they’d like to take home. Visitors could access to a continuously updated blog with articles about industry news and brand specials. In 2021, the HFDA plans to launch further open calls for Hungarian fashion, design and cosmetics brands.
