Shifting to a higher gear!

The Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency, Hungary’s coordinating fashion and design industry organisation, continues its operation, building on the successes of the last few years, maintaining the original directions but with an even bigger impetus and a new organisational structure. The strategic goal remains the same: to turn Hungary into the region’s fashion and design industry centre by 2030.

The Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency (HFDA), which turns four years old this summer, has reached an important milestone. It has become a well-known and recognised organisation in the profession since its foundation. Based on exceptional professional successes, the Agency wants to level up its operation in the next period, which will be accompanied and supported by organisational restructuring and fine-tuning of activity focal points.

In the new leadership and organisational structure of the HFDA, the previously set strategic directions and goals remain while it takes a step forward in operation. The reorganisation will allow the Agency to help fashion and design industry players with an even more coordinated work.

As the CEO, Zsófia Jakab will continue to lead the HFDA’s strategic work; her role does not change in the Agency’s new management structure and organisational construction. Relying on her professional experience and extensive international network, she will continue working on connecting the Hungarian fashion and design industry to the international flow and turning Budapest into a determining regional industry centre.

Anita Forintos-Szűcs has worked as the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency’s Fashion Director and then - besides her role in the Fashion Division - as Deputy CEO since 2018. From now on, she will be in charge of the area of the design industry in addition to fashion, development projects and events in the new management structure as Deputy General Deputy CEO. Now she will participate more actively in a broader spectrum of areas, such as financial and marketing management. Thanks to her previous experience, she has gained profound expertise in strategic management, efficiency improvement, and organisational development, so it is crucial for her to emphasise these areas even more in the HFDA’s everydays. As a leader, it is her accentuated goal to bring the fashion and design industry to an international level by supporting sales incentivising and using innovative business solutions, as well as helping the young generation reach their goals with theoretical and practical tools.

During the planning of the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency’s reorganisation, a results-oriented operation was an important aspect. The Agency realised over 20 projects in 2021, giving almost 160 industry players access to new professional possibilities, including entrants, market-ready brands, manufacturers and regional designers. In its operation, the HFDA pays attention to market needs, sustainability trends, and 21st-century challenges and optimises its programmes accordingly.
