New York Fashion Icon Strengthens the BCEFW Advisory Board
An influential fashion expert has joined the international Advisory Board of the Budapest Central European Fashion Week (BCEFW): Dora Fung, Editor-in-Chief of 10 Magazine USA. From now on, the international fashion expert will support the development of the Hungarian and Central European fashion industry with her extensive knowledge and network.
Dora Fung has been working at the pinnacle of the global fashion scene for over one and a half decades. She helped shape global fashion trends as the New York Fashion and Production Editor of Vogue China for nearly ten years, later playing a pivotal role in launching Yahoo Style under the editorship of Joe Zee. She is also the original editor of Rouge Fashion Book, China’s first independent fashion and art magazine. She is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the US edition of 10 Magazine, where she plays a significant role not only as an editor but also as a brand builder.
Dora has collaborated with major luxury brands across several continents, leading campaigns and creative projects for global celebrities while building bridges between the American and Asian markets at the intersection of fashion and culture. She has previously worked for media outlets such as Vogue US, Vanity Fair, and Tatler Asia.
The board also includes other prominent industry figures such as Péter Baldaszti, Co-Founder and CEO of Nanushka and Vanguards, who contributes to market development by supporting emerging luxury brands; Stefan Siegel, Founder and CEO of NOT JUST A LABEL, who has created a global platform for emerging fashion designers; and Violetta Fedorova, Digital Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Ukraine, widely regarded as one of the most influential editors in the Eastern European fashion scene.
The Advisory Board’s shared goal is to increase the professional standards and international visibility of Budapest Central European Fashion Week and to promote the global expansion of Hungarian and regional designers. Dora Fung’s appointment marks another step towards establishing Budapest as a fashion hub capable of engaging in dialogue with the global fashion capitals from New York to Paris.
The Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency believes that professional partnerships and international relations are key to not only strengthening Budapest’s position on the European fashion map but also to achieving the goal of bringing both emerging talents and globally ready brands into the international spotlight.
