Mentoring programme for manufacturers in the clothing industry will be launched
In addition to its mentoring programmes for designers the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency will launch a development programme for manufacturers in September, with a special focus on textile and clothing manufacturers. During the training, the mentees will be able to gain up-to-date knowledge of business and production technologies, through which they will have a strong chance to enter international markets successfully. Those interested can apply for the programme through an open application process.
One of the main goals of the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency is to strengthen the Hungarian manufacturer base, therefore this Autumn, the Agency will launch a Manufacturer Mentoring Programme, which will equip the participants with forward-thinking company management, sales and technology skills. The programme is aimed at garment manufacturers who are thinking of mass-produced, quality products and would even be ready to enter the international market. The mentees will be selected from among the applicants by a professional Jury.
Thanks to the training, which will last for several months, the mentees will be able to learn about new technological methods and techniques, including the topics of automation systems and warehouse management. Participants taking part in the manufacturer mentoring programme will receive development assistance from industry experts who not only have insight on the situation of domestic factories but also have extensive experience in how international markets operate.
At the first stage of the programme, which will be the workshops, the manufacturers will be able to hear about well-functioning business practices from the experts of the Hungarian Export Development Agency, and in the possession of this knowledge, they will be able to succeed even across the country’s borders. In addition to expanding their business knowledge, the mentees can learn about, among other things, how to improve their trade opportunities, and by doing so, increasing their export revenue.
If the virus situation permits, the HFDA plans to expand the mentoring programme with an international partner. One of the key goals of the programme is to enable participants to fulfil a high volume of foreign orders.
