Experience and Inspiration: The Creative Festival Achieves Another Success!
From the very first moment the gates opened, crowds of enthusiasts registered for the Creative Festival’s fashion, design, game, and beauty workshops, while eagerly anticipating the colourful programmes. Interest showed no sign of waning on the second day, with nearly 5,000 attendees enjoying one of the most exciting celebrations of the National Foundation Day this year. It is a source of pride that the brand image of the event, realised in professional partnership with the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency, was designed by talented students who also took part in the “Get in the Picture – New Talent of the Year” competition.
The Creative Festival, part of the St. Stephen’s Day celebrations, welcomed visitors on 19–20 August for the fifth time at Millenáris. During the two-day event, over 20 workshops and programmes, spanning the full spectrum of the creative industry, awaited visitors, offering inspiring activities to everyone regardless of age, whether they came alone, with friends, or with family.
Under the guidance of creative professionals, participants could confidently try their hands at making home decor accessories and design objects of use, and jewellery, other fashionable accessories, and personalised beauty care products were also created at the workshops. Participants could then take their creations home, leaving the festival with unforgettable memories as well as numerous exciting, inspiring, and useful items.
In addition, visitors could enjoy board games and wooden toys, puppet theatre, and a wide range of other engaging activities and purchase selected products by Hungarian designers and brands.
This year, the Festival’s appearance and brand image were designed by talented students of Budapest Complex SZC – Creative and Artisan Technical School, who also participated in the 2025 “Get in the Picture – New Talent of the Year” competition. In fact, the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency launched the programme for the third time, aiming to support the professional development of students in creative industry vocational training, foster talent, and strengthen career orientation. The tender, launched with the Budapest Complex Vocational Training Centre, was open to young people aged 14-21 from across the country studying fashion, design, fine and applied arts, and beauty and personal care courses. Following the competition, the HFDA continues to monitor the students’ professional journeys closely. This year, the talented students of the Budapest Complex SZC – Creative and Artisan Technical School, who have participated in the programme, had the opportunity to design the visual identity for the 2025 Creative Festival. They were supported in this endeavour by their teacher, Henriett Dóczi, and, as during the competition, by mentor Attila Dóczi (also known as Májkül Nájt), a visual artist.
This aligns perfectly with the Creative Festival’s key aim of ensuring that, alongside the experiences on offer, a wide audience can also discover the value of the domestic creative industries.
