Exhibition opens presenting the works of the Hungarian fashion scene’s young designers
The Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency launched the Fashion Development Mentoring Programme in the autumn for the third time. The time has come for participating designers to debut domestically and internationally since the BCEFW’s official programmes give them a chance to show their talent. The mentoring programme’s five designers take part in Hungary’s most anticipated fashion event as exhibitors, and other two designers will present their newest collections at BCEFW’s runways for the first time. Fashion enthusiasts are not left without programmes during the week either: numerous side events will be realised in the framework of the event, including the mentorees.
The Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency started the Fashion Development Mentoring Programme, having recognised the creative and business potential in the Hungarian fashion industry, to pass on theoretical knowledge in the most important brand development areas that is indispensable for building a successful brand. The mentorees will develop their enterprises through professional consultations and workshops in these months with the programme’s aid. Now they were given a chance to prove their talent at the Budapest Central European Fashion Week to the Hungarian and international design scene.
During the fashion week, different Hungarian desingers’ exhibitions can be visited, and numerous side events will be realised in different parts of the capital, all providing a chance for us to get to know the works of the Fashion Development Mentoring Programme designers.
As the BCEFW’s accentuated event, in the Deák Palota on the Fashion Street, clothing and accessories designers participating in the mentoring programme will exhibit their collections, among others. It will be worth visiting the city centre’s impressive building on the 5th and 6th of February since 320DTLA, a modern sportswear company, AANRO representing a unisex style, and the Unrealindustry streetwear brand will present the essential pieces of their collections there. You can find details about the event here.
Additional exhibitions will await those interested on the 5th and 6th of February in the Museum of Fine Arts, also known as the venue of the weekend shows, where, among other Hungarian designers, the Fashion Development Mentoring Programme’s participants – MrCarterCo and VALBONA Leather – give a unique taste of their leather goods. You can find details about the event here.
Budapest becomes a real fashion capital for the time of the BCEFW since the designers packed the whole week with exciting activities. The designers of the Fashion Development Mentoring Programme also joined the side events. 320DTLA will await us with discounts on the 4th of February in its Flagship store, while EVELINKFINK will hold an exclusive open day in its studio, where those interested can meet not only the designer but their previous and present 22/23AW collections.
The event’s highlight is always the weekend fashion shows, and this year is no exception. The catwalk shows will start on Friday in the Royal Riding Hall building, where two participants of the mentoring programme will get an opportunity to present their 2022/23 autumn-winter collections. The EVELINKFINK show will start on the 4th of February at 3 pm, and from 4 pm, another mentoree, GYOROK, will take over the BCEFW’s catwalk. You can find information about the event’s other shows and their dates on BCEFW’s official website.
