Designers from four countries will present their creations in the Budapest Central European Select mobile pop-up store

The Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency announces an open application for fashion and design brands of Hungarian, SlovakianCzech and Polish citizens living in the V4 countries to appear in domestic and foreign pop-up stores and sell their products. In our capital, during the BCEFW, which is the leading fashion event of the Central European region, first the Budapest Central European Select pop-up store will be located in the heart of Budapest on the Fashion Street, providing excellent sales opportunities. Following that, talented Hungarian and regional designers can conquer Slovakia, Czech Republic and Poland with their creations in 2021 and 2022.

One of the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency's main strategic goals is to improve the international accessibility of Hungarian brands, which contributes to the economic stability of the brands and incentivises their exportability. Pop-up is a sort of innovative reaction to today's quickly changing consumer needs and market financial situations; thus, it has become an important element of brand strategies.

The Agency places great emphasis on the role of the Hungarian presidency of the V4, regional cooperation, and the strengthening of cultural heritage and experience. Hence, it announces an open application for Hungarian, Slovakian, Czech and Polish fashion and design brands for appearance in domestic and foreign pop-up stores. Young talents can apply in men's and women's clothing, accessories, ceramics, jewellery, small luminaires, and furniture categories.  The tenders must include product and brand concept, the introduction of previous collections or product lines, the designers' professional portfolio, and the stock list of products to be sold, among other documents. A professional jury will evaluate the applications and choose the best brands based on professional criteria and expectations.

The Budapest Central European Select will be a travelling pop-up store series; thus, the chosen Hungarian and regional designers will have sales opportunities in Budapest, but also in Slovakia, Czech Republic and Poland next year. The pop-up store will be located in the heart of Budapest, on Fashion Street between the 11th and 22nd of October during the Budapest Central European Fashion Week in the Hungarian capital.

The Agency believes that it will enable an active flow of information between the neighbouring countries by facilitating common thinking and collaboration. Fashion and design as a means of communicational have an impact on the tools of expressing national and regional identity and the possibilities of creating contacts between countries. HFDA's further goal is to make the region's creative industry more widely known, strengthen the cooperation between the industry's institutions, generate joint projects, exchange contemporary fashion and product designers and programmes, launch mobility, and improve tourism and touristic services.

You can apply here: https://www.bceselect.budapestselectstore.com/ until the 3rd of October, 2021 midnight.

Unfortunately, HFDA cannot take into consideration documents and applications that arrived after the deadline.
