design DIALOG - Design for the Circular Economy - Creative Solutions by V4 designers

This autumn, the audience can get acquainted with the creativity of Hungarian designers in an unusual setting. For the third time, the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency is a professional partner of Budapest Design Week. Under the name 360 Design Budapest, among other things, the Agency is coming with three educational roundtables, during which local and regional experts and designers will reflect on current industry issues. In the third and final part, the designers of the V4 countries express their views on the possibilities inherent in circular models.

The podcast entitled Design for the Circular Economy - Creative Solutions by V4 designers aims to start a process of thinking together about design, regardless of national borders. During the discussion, the speakers will address the challenges of the circular economy, the difficulties of transition, and the role of environmental responsibility in their branding. In the third and last part, the V4 designers share insights on how the pandemic affected the development in the design industry of the region, the daily lives of international brands and, in this changed situation, their own creative and lifestyle solutions.

  • What role can designers play in the circular economy?
  • How can a sustainable approach be manifested in material use, the optimization of manufacturing processes, and in the reduction of packaging and shipping costs?
  • How open are manufacturers and large companies to such solutions?
  • How can the circular production and the recycling of a product be promoted?
  • What regional circular solutions are there and what way of thinking characterize their country in this field?
  • Which project or personal experience inspired the designers to be environmentally conscious?
