BCEFW SS24 - Side Event application

Application to organize side events at BCEFW is now open

This year also, there is an opportunity to participate in the Budapest Central European Fashion Week (BCEFW), one of the most prestigious fashion events in the Central European region, through a diverse array of programs called ’side events’. The primary aim of these programs is to provide both domestic and international audiences with the opportunity to experience the latest innovations and behind-the-scenes secrets of the fashion industry during the fashion week, which will take place from the 28th of August to the 3rd of September, 2023, at various locations in Budapest. The organizers welcome applications from potential side event Partners until the 13th of August, 2023.

The Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency has a key objective of integrating the Hungarian fashion and design industry into the international professional circuit and, in the long run, transforming Budapest into a regional hub, thereby enhancing the country's image. One of the important pillars of this objective is the organization of events that are known abroad and arouse great interest, such as the Budapest Central European Fashion Week.

The side events, increasingly popular with the public at various points in Budapest, will play a significant role in line with the season's innovations at BCEFW, which will be held at the end of August. Season after season, these programs become more diverse, attracting a growing number of attendees eager to explore the organizers' latest offerings. The side events also present an excellent opportunity for participants to interact with industry professionals and designers. By organizing such events, Partners can reach a broader audience with an interest in fashion, integrate with the pulse of the BCEFW and the city, while also promote their own brand.

Partners can join the event week's program with open or exclusive, online or offline side events with a theme that fits the profile of BCEFW from Monday (the 28th of August) to Sunday (the 3rd of September). Organizing the side event is the responsibility of the participating Partner, supported by BCEFW's online marketing and PR communications. The complete schedule of the fashion week, including details of the side events, will be listed on the official event website and BCEFW's social media platforms, facilitating event promotion.

Recommended side event themes include:

  • Pop-up Store
  • Roundtable Discussion
  • Fashion Show
  • Trunk Show
  • VIP Shopping
  • Charity Event
  • Promotions
  • Fashion-related Exhibitions (e.g., photography, design)
  • Style Consultation
  • Workshop
  • Fashion Week Specials (limited-edition collections, unique food/beverage offerings, signature cocktails, etc.)
  • Client Parties
  • Cocktail Parties
  • Shopping Parties

Partners interested in organizing a side event should submit their applications to info@bcefw.com by the 13th of August, 2023. The subject line of the email should indicate "Side Event Application," and the following information should be provided:

  • Name, date, venue, and brief description of the proposed program.
  • Contact person's name, phone number, and email address.

The organizing team will evaluate the received applications based on the program's theme and relevance to the Budapest Central European Fashion Week and create the final calendar. The event will be executed according to the most up-to-date official information, with the organizers reserving the right to make changes if necessary.
