Applications are open for progressive designers to take part in the multi-award-winning 360 Design Budapest exhibition
The 360 Design Budapest exhibition opened its doors to the public in October 2020, and the talent of national and regional designers has been proven by the numerous international design awards the exhibition has received. This professional recognition will also provide broader exposure to the creative potential of the region. After the great success of last year’s, HFDA will be once again organising the 360 Design Budapest exhibition in 2021 and welcomes applications from innovative design companies, emerging designers and regional professionals.
As a testament to the talent and modern solutions of local and regional designers, the A' Design Award & Competition awarded the exhibition bronze prizes in two categories - Event & Happening Design and Interior Space & Exhibition Design. This recognition—one of the most prestigious in the profession—will allow an even wider international audience to discover the creative potential of the region, as, besides the trophy, certificate and yearbook, the winners' work will be featured at the "Best Designs of the Year" exhibition in Italy.
At the 11th Global Eventex Awards, the 360 Design Budapest exhibition won gold in the Virtual Expo category and bronze in the Art Event category. In addition to the professional recognition, the winners will also receive a communication support package, which will help them to promote the selected winning projects to a broader audience.
The HFDA is opening the application process in three categories - Innovative Design Enterprises, Emerging Talent, and Regional Professionals - for those who would like to participate and showcase their work to the public at the 360 Design Budapest exhibition in 2021. In partnership with several Hungarian and international design events and organisations, the HFDA aims to create a program that will have a strong tourism appeal across Europe.
The aim of 360 Design Budapest in 2021 is to enhance the recognition of Hungarian and regional designers, support Hungarian design brands in entering the international market as well as presenting new, innovative and sustainable solutions to the design-conscious target audience. The event will also raise awareness on the role of design in our daily lives, which surrounds us in 360 degrees, and owing to the exhibition Hungary will get closer to its role as a regional design hub.
In 2020, the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency as part of the Budapest Design Week event series, 360 Design Budapest drew attention to the role of design in everyday life through online and offline exhibitions, guided tours and roundtable discussions. The event aimed to showcase works that highlight the fact that our living spaces can be easily filled entirely with Hungarian design.
