Applications are now open for the programme which is supporting the development of young fashion designers

The Young Talents Programme launched by the HFDA is providing an opportunity for young fashion designers at the beginning of their career in Hungary to develop and grow their brand to a higher level within the framework of the programme. The mentoring programme also provides professional knowledge and a network of contacts for young talent to lay the foundation on the road to their first successes. The candidates will be judged by a professional jury in the course of two rounds, during which they will be able to present themselves at the Budapest Central European Fashion Week (BCEFW).

Within the framework of the Young Talents Programme, which will be launched this Autumn, the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency will provide young designers with an opportunity to develop, progress and come to terms with their talents. The initiative is specifically targeted at freshly graduated fashion designers wanting to start their careers. Through professional consultations, workshops, and study trips the Young Talents Programme introduces the young designers to the mechanisms of the market, and by doing so, preparing the next generation for the professional challenges they may face - be it the founding of a brand, market-entry, networking, marketing or legal knowledge.

Throughout the six-month programme, the young talents who want to gain additional knowledge to what they acquired at school, and who want to further develop their skills in design, manufacturing and business knowledge will find their needs met.

In addition to professional knowledge, they will also be able to personally find out about the locations and processes that are inseparable from the everyday lives of fashion industry players. Through the steps of the Young Talents Programme, young designers can get involved in the domestic community of the fashion industry and also increase their awareness and visibility.

During the selection phase, the young talents applying for the programme will also be able to present themselves to the audience and Jury in the framework of the Budapest Central European Fashion Week. The designers will be given the opportunity to present their collections in the Young Talents Show section, which will be judged by a professional jury, and will be then followed by the decision on which participants will make the final cut as entrants to the programme.

The Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency is looking for young graduate fashion designers to apply for the programme.
