Up-and-coming fashion designers presented at Cracow Fashion Week

Between the 18th and the 26th of March, a fashion week was held in Krakow, attended by the Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency (HFDA) as an invited jury member at the SAPU Diploma Show. Viktória Tolnai, Director of Marketing and Communication representing the Agency gave an award which is also an invitation to the winner, the talented Maciej Nodzeński designer to present his work at the Young Talents collective fashion show of Budapest Central European Fashion Week (BCEFW) to be held between the 28th of August and the 3rd of September.

The Cracow Fashion Week was held for the fourteenth time, where fashion was in the spotlight for 9 days. The traditional SAPU Diploma Show was held on the 18th of March 2023, the opening day where the invited representatives of foreign fashion weeks and the international press handed out the Cracow Fashion Awards based on the professional jury’s decision.

At the competition of freshly graduated designers, this year, the best young talents of Polish fashion, whose collections brought the audience to a whole new world, a magical atmosphere with the beauty of colours and music, were selected at the Cracow Fashion Awards on the 18th of March. 45 design graduates debuted at the catwalk show in front of the jury, with members arriving from Poland, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Belarus, Slovakia and Turkey.

The Hungarian Fashion & Design Agency, in line with its strategic goals, considers it important to build international relations in the fashion and design industry. The invitation to take part in the jury at the Cracow Fashion Week was a great opportunity for strengthening professional relations while it also provided a possibility for viewing young foreign designers’ collections as well.

The HFDA was glad to give the award to the designer whom they considered best, Maciej Nodzeński, who presented his collection named Annihilation, inspired by the death of coral reefs, fading day by day. The talented Polish fashion designer only used second-hand clothing in his work, raising attention to the importance of environmental protection.

It is essential for the Agency to maintain good relations and cooperate with regional and neighbouring countries. BCEFW, strengthening its regional role, has always been open to the presentation of designers and up-and-coming talents of the region. HFDA warmly welcomes the winner, Maciej Nodzeński, at the BCEFW to be held in late August, where he can shine his fresh, creative vision once again at the Young Talents collective fashion show.
